Recognizing Impairment in the Workplace

This course reviews definitions related to impairment, discusses the implications of impairment in the workplace, presents the causes of impairment and the signs and symptoms to recognize impairment. The course content also includes information about interventions and approaches to prevent impairment in the workplace, the procedures to follow related to reporting, and the educational opportunities to increase staff knowledge related to impairment and drug abuse. This course fulfills the Florida requirement for nursing professionals and nursing home administrators for 2 hours of continuing education on recognizing impairment in the workplace.
