Service Description

The Nursing Home Infection Prevention Program (NIPP) is a three-day, 17-hour comprehensive program dedicated to Infection Prevention & Control and those that perform this important role and/or oversee it. The training includes lectures, knowledge checks and practice problems, discussion questions, and small group activities. The infection preventionist will learn about how to perform their roles and responsibilities and be provided a manual that includes slide sets, tools such as checklists and observation audit forms, and resource pages with references and links to resources to support implementation of their IPC and antibiotic stewardship programs.
