HIV/AIDS

This 1-hour course provides an overview of HIV/AIDS, including prevalence, stages of HIV infection, modes of transmission, signs and symptoms, testing, and clinical management of HIV/AIDS. The program also covers prevention and infection control measures for implementation. The last section of this course reviews relevant Florida laws and regulations that impact testing and confidentiality. This course fulfills the Florida requirement for nursing professionals and nursing home administrators for 1 hour of continuing education on HIV/AIDS.
