Manager of Health Information Services
Miriam Carey brings over thirty years of healthcare experience and expertise, with a focus in the long-term care profession. Ms. Carey holds an Associate of Science Degree in Health Information Management from Rasmussen College. She is an active member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and is certified as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and a Certified Health Information Technologist – Implementation Manager (CHTS-IM). She is an active member of the Florida Health Information Management Association (FHIMA), as well as the local chapter of her regional association, Northeast Florida Health Information Management Association (NEFHIMA).
Ms. Carey has an extensive background in healthcare compliance, HIPAA privacy and security compliance, medical ICD-10 coding, and MDS section I compliance, electronic health record implementation, scanning and uploading, release of information and the record auditing processes.​
Ms. Carey is experienced with multiple Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems including: MatrixCare, Sigmacare, Point Click Care, and American Health Tech.
